Improving China's Globalization
Bridges China Dialogue in Geneva is an independent, international initiative that is committed to improving China’s globalization in a sustainable manner by engaging Chinese business leaders and policymakers in international multi-stakeholder conversations on governance, strategies, practices and global citizenship and establishing beneficial multilateral relations among China and other stakeholders throughout the world.
Founded by International Centre for Trade and Sustainable Development (ICTSD) in 2007, Bridges China Dialogue has become one of the most influential international forums in the world with focus on China topics. Participants of past Bridges China Dialogues were a distinguished group of business leaders, key policymakers, experts from academia and research institutes, and vocal activists from civil society organizations, including Ambassador Zhenyu Sun (former Permanent Representative of China to the WTO), Minister Yutai Zhang (President of Development Research Center of China’s State Council), Mr. Pascal Lamy (Director-General of the World Trade Organisation (WTO), Mr. Changjun Xie (President of China Longyuan Power Group Corporation Limited), Mr. John McCall MacBain (Founder of the McCall MacBain Foundation and Pamoja Capital SA), Mr. Andrei Marcu (Head of Regulatory Affairs, Mercuria Energy), Mr. Ralf C. Schlaepfer (Partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers), Dr. Shusong Ba (Deputy Director General, Research Institute of Finance, Development Research Centre of China’s State Council), Professor Simon Zadek from Harvard University, and Dr. Linda Yueh from Oxford University, etc.
