Major positions as office manager and parliamentary assistant to a Member of the German Parliament.
She gained further expertise as project director at the Institute for Urban Development and Housing of the
Federal State of Brandenburg. In this position she was responsible for advising the state Ministry of Transport, Housing and Planning and for the conception and compilation of scientific reports and expertise material.
October 2001 – September 2008
Head of the Division of Energy Efficiency in Buildings at newly founded dena (2001).
Felicitas Kraus developed the department from the beginning, was responsible for a multi-million-euro
budget and led a staff of 27 experts in theirs fields.
The tasks of the department include scientific support of the governmental work in the whole field of
energy efficiency in the building sector, close collaboration with the building and building-technology
industry, demonstration projects and national and international capacity building.
Felicitas Kraus is a well known expert in the field of energy efficiency in buildings and senior adviser to the German Federal Ministry of Transport, Building and Housing. She is in charge of various publications and is a key note speaker at national and international conferences.

The new division’s major goal is the development of bilateral cooperation in the field of energy efficiency, renewable energies and climate protection, with the main regional focus on Russia, Central Asia, the Caucasus, China and India. On of the central concerns is the increase of know-how transfer between Germany and the regions listed. Eventually, such a transfer shall serve the individual governments to deduce ways and tools for sustainable growth and help the German economy develop new export markets for products and services relating to energy efficiency.
